It's a girl! Sara Claire Weaver

It's a girl! Sara Claire Weaver will be here March 17, or before. :)

Christmas Morning 2010

Christmas morning 2010!! We woke up to a white Christmas. Andie got up first and woke me up with her "American Girl Doll" in her hands! She was so excited and couldn't wait for everyone to get up! Waylon was so excited "at all the stuff!" What a fun and sweet moment to remember! There's nothing like seeing the spirit of Christmas in a child's eyes. Merry Christmas everyone!

Andie rides her bike by herself for the first time!

A few days ago, Andie so preciously pulled her Daddy aside and asked him to take her training wheels off her bike. I was away at a CMA fest concert with my friend Sara, AKA SAYra. He sent me a detailed text explaining how she pulled him away from the crowd of neighbors to let him know she was ready for this big adventure. It made me cry sitting right there in the middle of LP field.
We practiced for 3 days or so. Today, this morning, she practiced for just a minute and before we knew it she was peddling away without me! She even "started off" by herself a few times. She is so determined and really listens very well to instruction! These two mixed together makes for success for our little bike rider!

Disclaimer** The Waylon Cam WILL cause nausea but it's very cute from his point of view!

Andie's big dance recital!

Andie's dance recital was fantastic! She loved wearing make up and dressing up like a princess. I admit that the day of the show I felt a little like a Toddlers and Tiara's kind of mom. "Don't mess up your make up, leave your hair alone, you got mascara on your nose, no let me put on your lipstick, etc." I was a little upset with myself because all in all it really wasn't a big deal. However, after talking to the other moms, I wasn't the only one that acted like a nut!

Andie was a little nervous at first but soon fell right into her normal star of the show self. She loved being on stage and enjoyed having Pops, Grandmother, Aunt Tab, Granny, Waylon, Justin, and Me watching her! Although she didn't like her pink rose after the show, she did proclaim that she wanted a toy for her surprise next time.

Make a big deal of the little moments that make you happy.

Today is such a rainy day! We've been anticipating the storm since breakfast. Considering that the kids love activity and that we are trying to dwindle down the amount of tv time for health and academic purposes.......(I know I know, we still use it sometimes...just sometimes). The anticipation of the storm had us all a little on edge. We love the outside, nature, riding bikes, and just spending time playing out there with whatever brings joy. We miss it when we can't.

However, it seems that we all found a moment in time where we were enlightened by the mood of the rain, thunder, and lightning. Me, making the bed and Justin, paying bills must have noticed the silence which is so scarce around here. Funny that we both found that moment at the same exact time. I grabbed the flip and Justin was trying to find me. I love moments like this when we are reminded of why we are here and what's important.

Biggest snow of Andie and Waylon's life so far!

This is the biggest snow of Andie and Waylon's sweet lives so far! Justin is on the road with Jason and we hate that he's missing our fun! The kids have enjoyed watching the snow fall and playing in it! Although it's been fun, we are getting cabin fever! We called Nana to get her snow ice cream recipe that we used during two snows in Ga when I was a kid. The kids loved it!

Andie's mini dance recital

As I'm going through cleaning up my computer and reflecting on 2009, I find this sweet video of Andie at her mini dance recital and wonder how I missed posting this before! She's our little performer. It's been hard for me to say goodbye to 2009 because of all the blessings that we were given! My babies are growing up too quickly. However, 2010 is here ready or not! This is it! This is 2010. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
