The car wash was quite an experience. The kids were scared AND it I ended up 4 wheel driving it down Aunt Sharon's mud boggen driveway after wards anyway! It was well worth it!

Christmas Morning
Waylon started the morning at...well...who knows what time! He was up enjoying his Santa gifts no telling how long. Andie got just what she wanted...an Ariel doll and Michael Jackson hat. The only thing missing was Ursala. Santa had a hard time finding one. Collectors items only. I guess I'll spend the next year looking!

Andie's the star of show!
It's been a while I know! I've been busy enjoying life with my little ones and family along with teaching a full class of sweethearts. It's late and I should be sleeping, but after a fun filled night at SMA, I can't resist sharing this with my family and friends! Andie had her performance debut in her class Christmas Musical. I must say she definitely stole the show. She started on stage by pointing out her Mommy to everyone and left the stage pointing out her Daddy! In between were some fascinating moments such as giving us a thumbs up along with a head nod and asking, "Can you hear me?" Then with a cute little rock out moment during the second song. What an amazing little girl. Waylon realized Andie was on stage about half way through the first song. He called her name and they had a moment waving at each other happily. We ended the night with cake and juice and a big thank you to Miss Sara for coming to enjoy the night with us.

Mrs. Weaver Class Project

I just settled the kids in bed and now it's my turn to do some of the homework that my class has also been working on. We are creating family favorite presentations. Our favorite supper is pizza night where we make our very own pizza. Our favorite vacation was to Seaside Beach in Florida. Our favorite fun night is skate night.

Waylon's first skate night
Andie's first day of preschool!
Andie started her first full day of preschool today. She cried at first and didn't want me to leave. Mommy had two personalities struggling to see which one would take over: Mrs. Weaver (teacher) and Mommy. The Mrs. Weaver side knew to take her in, get her settled, make a fuss over all the cute stuff including her line leader job, her hanger for her backpack, and her spot on the carpet for circle time, get her started making shapes with her play dough, and then leave. That was fine until I realized that I was also welcoming the other kids and telling them where to sit. I figured I better lay off and switch to Mommy mode. So, I kissed her, hugged her, squeezed her, and kept hanging out for a little while. Then Mrs. Weaver took over again (remembering how hard it can be to get the kids settled with lingering parents), said a quick good bye and turned Andie over to the assistant teacher who was patiently waiting. Andie was crying for me not to leave at the moment, but Mrs. Weaver knew she'd be okay! Mommy shed some tears and quickly left the building! Daddy and I ran some errands and hung out for a while. We finally picked up Andie (after what seemed like the longest 5 hours ever). She came out all smiles and even a good report from some teacher friends! We chatted about her day over a sonic ice cream. She learned "criss cross apple sauce" and "knees and toes." What a "Good Day to Say Goodbye."

Andie's late night laundry session
So, Andie got up and hour after I put her to bed. To my surprise, she had been playing in her room. I noticed toys all around and then over to side I see a neatly piled "load of laundry" that included every piece of baby clothes in her room. She then told me that she was busy doing laundry and that she had to spray it all with her spray, aka wrinkle release time saver for me! Just like her mommy.

Williamson County Fair
Today was a first for the kids. We took them to the WC Fair! Andie, being the sweet sister she is, held on to her brother tight while riding all the kiddie rides. Waylon, being the "ready to go" boy he is, was a little impatient! Me, being the protective mom I am, had a little trouble letting go of my babies. Justin reminded me they weren't babies anymore! What a fun day!

First time beachers
We and the Luther family visiting Rosemary Beach and stayed at the Monterey. This was Andie and Waylon's first time to the beach and Justin and my first vacation in 8 years. Thanks to the movie Finding Nemo, we were able to make connections every minute of every day the entire time at the beach! We literally talked about the movie the entire time! If we weren't talking and quoting it, we were watching it per Waylon's request. "Watch Nemo." We named Waylon "Jelly Man" after Marlin since we braved the jellies and swam with a few of them the first time we swam. We also found a flounder, crabs, lots of fish, dolphins, and even heard of someone seeing a shark just a few yards from where we were. The water was amazing, the most amazing that Justin and I have seen it ever. It was so calm and beautiful for three days. We enjoyed our time so much and are so blessed to have such sweet friends to visit with.

Brett's Lake House
A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of visiting Brett and his wife Sandy and their kids at their lake house on Tim's Ford. The kids absolutely enjoyed the water! It was their first time in a lake. Of course Mom grew up on a lake and a river so I was very excited to have my babies experience this! We tubed, Daddy and Mommy knee boarded, and Mommy even skiied for the first time in 10 years. Andie and Waylon watched and cheered from the deck as mommy got up the first time! Yay Mommy!

July 4th
Licking the bowl!
Mommy can I hold your hand?
I went to have a small cyst removed from my back. While I was getting numbing shots, sweet Andie got up from her chair from across the room, came over and said, "Mommy, don't you want me to hold your hand so you will feel better?" I didn't feel a thing after that other than my heart melting! Just one of those moments that confirm that I'm doing something right.
Mermaids gone wild!
We began our morning with painting mermaids. I've been inspired by a friend to start making crafts with the kids. I found a cute website and began our journey. I stepped out of the room for just a second and came back to some drama with the mermaids. Andie had a few choice spots for her googly eyes and Waylon had a few choice spots for his water color paint! Andie thought that her mermaid needed boobies and Waylon decided to paint himself instead of his mermaid. What fun would it have been without the drama? Needless to say we had a few laughs with this one! Gotta love their sweet little personalities!
Lots of catching up to do! We've been busy having fun and not much time to blog! I'll start with Father's Day. We had a nice quiet day that ended with dinner at Pancho's. The kids had fun with Daddy and Andie was sure to tell him Happy Father's Day every few hours. She was so excited. She loves celebrations.

Chattanooga Zoo rocks!
Chattanooga zoo seemed small and not much like the Nashville zoo. I was afraid the kids would be disappointed until our first stop at the Chimp lookout where we all kissed the chimps and Waylon would have even gotten a hay snack had the glass not been between us and the primates! I have never ever seen chimps up close like this. It was awesome!! They knew we were there and even interacted with us! We had the same experience with a coyote! Yes!! One pawed the glass to get Waylon's attention as if he wanted to play with the cute little boy on the other side of the glass. What a nice surprise!
Surprise stop in Chattanooga
So we thought we were headed back to Nashville until we had to stop off for gas in Chattanooga. Justin proved once and for all that he hadn't lost his spontaneous charm that I once loved so much! Off to Ruby Falls we go! Andie was excited to walk through the cave and Waylon enjoyed splashing around in the cave water. I knew they'd like it considering that Justin had gone caving with his friend David and had heard all about it! I didn't remember how neat the Falls were and how interesting it is that the cave people still haven't figured out where in the world it's coming from! Goodbye to Ruby Falls and hello Days Inn! After ordering our food from the hotel cafe, we realized that Waylon was not going to cooperate and sit quietly, but instead acted like the chimps we'd see at the Chattanooga zoo the next day. So, off we go to take our food to the room. After realizing the kids locked the bathroom door in the hotel room, off to another hotel room we go. No wait, Justin was off to get our food. That leaves me and the kids to move the luggage to another floor on the other side of the hotel! Believe it or not we did it! I made it very clear to the kids to stay close! Sweet little Waylon listened so well and stayed within a foot of me the whole move! Sweet Andie helped carry the bags. Safe and sound, Waylon crashed after supper!
Atlanta means kisses for Andie!
Off to Atlanta to visit our friends Hunter and Rob who have one boy and one girl around Andie and Waylon's ages. Andie began her ATL visit with a kiss for Beau even before the date! The guys took Andie and Beau to the Braves game! This was both kids' first game! She couldn't wait to tell me about "all the boys playing baseball!" She also couldn't wait to show me her "knocker." AKA, tomahawk. Waylon, Madi, Hunter, and I headed for the park for a mini night. We weren't sure the little ones could handle sitting still for the game! The trip was fantastic! Especially the Starbucks Hunter and I splurged for, TWICE!
Lots of new moments to share!
Okay, so give me a break since I'm a new blogger! It's been 14 days since I blogged. However, we have been out of town and I did leave my card reader at home. So, enough with the excuses. I'm now taking ownership of my blogging efforts. So off to Georgia... almost! We headed the opposite way to Nashville to congratulate Brett on his number one hit by Rodney Atkins, "It's America." Andie and Waylon met Rodney Atkins!
Now off to Georgia. First though, a stop at Stucky's to pick up the key to a quiet Way Way, a huge swirly sucker! The last trip home to Georgia was in November. Since school's out, we packed up the house and headed to Forsyth where we stayed with Justin's parents. Our days were filled with friends, family, and food! We began our first day at home with a tour of the square for Andie. She loved it but only wanted to go back to Grandmother's. The kids loved swimming in Grandmother's pool. Waylon used Andie's arm floaties and Andie used Waylon's yellow swim ring. We had Mexican with Aunt Tab, played with her horses, went to Mexican with Angela, Brandon, the boys, and the Grandparents and swam some more! We went to Juliette and had lunch with my mom at the RiverBend Cafe. We all smelled like grease until we bathed but what's a meal in Georgia if it's not greasy right? The best thing is that I got my accent back after only a few days back in the south.

A day at Margie's pool
Today was such a fun day, especially for Waylon. We started out our day at the rec center pool for Andie's swimming lessons. She hasn't been a big fan and I've struggled with whether or not to make her go. Last week she cried the entire time. Today was the last day of lessons. We decided to take her but to allow her to swim with us while her lessons were going on. I think teaching her to finish what she starts is so important. In the meantime, Justin worked (played of course) with Waylon on reaching for the side of the pool and then scooting to the stairs. Waylon absolutely loved it and has continued his reputation from last year of being a water baby. After swim lessons we went to Target and got a few things for Margie's make-up memorial day party. We went home for an hour, got some dishes to take and were on our way. Waylon found the slide immediately. He stayed there for 4 hours. Down the slide, in the water, under the water, to the stairs, and down the slide again all with a big toothy smile! Justin and I took shifts. Needless to say, after 4 hours he was exhausted and went down for a nap with no problems in Margie's room just as he does when she keeps him. Still not done with the day we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings with the Decker family. What a fun day!

Screaming Mall Mama
So we adventured out to the mall today in hopes of finding some cheap on sale outfits to wear to the Braves game this weekend. Our day started with Andie's foot appointment and then to the UPS store to return some shoes for Waylon. All went well. I was surprisingly proud of myself for waking up at 9:15 and having to get to our first stop at 10:00. My wonderful husband let me sleep....not remembering the appt. So, reflecting on how well I handled all that, listening to Keith, and calmly chatting with my babies, we decided to head to the mall. All was great, we got some shopping done and even found some deals. Then, the fact that I only had the single stroller took effect on Andie Jewel. She wanted me to hold her. So I did, as I pushed Waylon down the mall. Still proud of my composure we decided to hold off on lunch for a while. Not so bright. One more stop I told myself. So, I gave Andie my favorite viva la glam lipstick to keep her occupied. It did. She had on more lipstick than a model at a photoshoot. She lagged behind us, putting on more lipstick for next 30 minutes. We had lunch and then decided to shop some more. By the end of the trip I was screaming to Andie to stay with us and to stop applying viva la glam. The lady in Baby Gap probably called dfacs on me and I'll be in jail for being a lunatic come tomorrow. By the time we got in the car we were all three crying and exhausted. My my, no one told me days at the mall were over after a 3 and almost 2 year old. As they were asleep before we got out of the parking lot, I got myself together and came to my senses of how ridiculous it was for me to expect them to handle all that. I can't blame them.

addition to Two handsome Weaver men
The picture of Justin and Waylon was taken at Williamson Medical when Waylon sliced his toe open on a air filter. I know, random! He got three stitches while 4 people held him down while wrapped in a sheet looking like a burrito. Not fun for Mommy or Daddy! However, God blessed us with a healed toe in less than a week!

Blogging! I'm doing it! I'm diving in!
Well, I'm doing it! Blogging! What a concept! I've been looking at some friends blogs and decided to begin documenting our fun times! We make so many memories every day. I'm finished with Andie and Waylon's baby books and am working on their photo albums from 13 months until now. I'm almost out of pages and have wondered how I will continue to document memories that we make every day. As I was looking at a friends archived blogs, I wondered if they could be printed for documentation in lieu of a scrap book. In reality, if I want to stay sane and enjoy making memories, scrap booking isn't for me. I would be worried constantly about how far behind I am on the pages. So, I called my blogger friend and she informed me that you can archive and make digital scrap books from the archived blogs! So here I am, excited and feeling ambitious!! Thanks Jessica!!
